Project Completion - RAP Area, William Harvey Hospital, Ashford

We are delighted to have handed over the new 11 bed Rapid Assessment Area to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

The contract comprised of the refurbishment to part of the existing Accident and Emergency department to form an 11 bed Rapid Assessment Patient (RAP) Area and ancillary accommodation which was delivered to a tight 12-week programme.

Increasing the capacity of the RAP at William Harvey Hospital allows for the rapid handover of a patient’s care from SECAmb (South East Coastal Ambulance) to the right hospital staff, allowing the patient to receive immediate care. It also allows the SECAmb crew to get back on the road and respond to the next emergency call in the community.
