Client Kent County Council
Architect Clague Architects

We are appointed to deliver the construction of a new standalone sixth form building at Sir Geoffrey Leigh Academy in Dartford, Kent, on behalf of Kent County Council.

The project comprises a two-storey, free-standing new build block designed to support the academy’s 2FE expansion and provide dedicated accommodation for sixth form teaching and social spaces. The development has been progressed through RIBA Stage 4, with planning approval in place.

The new facility will include a range of modern teaching spaces alongside a sixth form social area incorporating a dedicated grab-and-go servery. External works form an integral part of the scheme, including adaptations to the surrounding areas and the creation of improved pedestrian routes linking the new building to the main school facilities.

Construction works are due to commence on site around Easter this year.

I’m absolutely delighted that we have been able to finally open the doors of the Oscar Innovation Centre. It’s fantastic to see the project drawn to a close and completed to perfection. The opening of our new HQ space is a huge milestone for the company – a testament to our commitment to acoustic innovation as well as proof of our continued growth. This cutting-edge facility, tailored to our unique needs, will set us well on our way towards revolutionising the world of acoustics. Our sincere thanks go out once again to Urban & Rural, the lead architect of the project, main contractor WW Martin and project management lead Ball Hall for making our vision a reality.
